DMX's Bail Denied Again

DMX's Bail Denied Again
DMX

Troubled rapper will remain in police custody for another week after he was denied bail for the second time on Thursday, December 9. The hip-hop star, real name Earl Simmons, is facing eight months behind bars following his arrest in Phoenix, Arizona last month for violating his parole.

He is accused of breaking the terms of his probation by using cocaine and painkiller OxyContin, driving on a suspended license and failing to check in with his parole officer. DMX, who has denied the allegations, was initially refused bail during a November hearing and court commissioner Christine Mulleneaux rejected the request again on Thursday morning, when he appeared at Mariciopa County Superior Court.

She granted him a continuance at the probation hearing, but ordered him to be held without bond at Lower Buckeye Jail in Mariciopa County until at least December 16, when he is due back in court.

DMX has been in and out of jail this year and completed his most recent prison stint in August after serving 18 days of a 90-day sentence in connection with a reckless driving conviction from 2002.
